Here we go again, here I am
Speculations, head in my hands
Well it’s a re run, a five-twist outcome
No one ever likes to be tricked or outdone
And what’s the point in tabbing up the score?
Screaming inside but I walk so tall
How do you live your life in the way
That you try to relax but you can’t even relate to yourself
Where do you draw the line?
‘Cos as you said you’re doing fine
And you’re making new memories
And I’m just trying to forget mine
Like possessions you’ve bought and sold
You’re out with the new and you’re in with the old
You wear your skin like the harlequin
I’m the punch line but you’re the only one laughing
It’s a waste that the steps that we take lead us back to the same old place
Like an old friend but you’re never welcome
The only thing you trust is that you hate the situation
Where do you draw the line?
‘Cos as you said you’re doing fine
And you’re making new memories
And I’m just trying to forget mine
Maybe if it’s all my fault, maybe I could take control and I could change it
But the morning comes burning in
And you’re still there for me waiting and I can’t face it
I can’t rearrange it, you know what’s done is done
And I’m really not the type to wanna change someone
But I don’t feel that
I don’t feel it at all
Even though I know I’ve lived in doubt
I always thought 1 knew what I could live without
Caught off guard, jaded and scarred
You wanna look back but you’ve moved too far
Don’t let up never let it show
Strength is an opinion and I don’t wanna know
What yours will be now that you feel free
Outside this chalk silhouette of me
